Likewise, accepting the Imamate of all infallible Imams (a.s.) is necessary for deliverance. Sunni scholars like Shaikh al-Islam Hamveeni and Shaikh Sulayman Qundoozi have documented the saying of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) in his famous work “Yanaabee’ al-Mawaddah that.
“من أنكر خروج المهدي فقد كفر”
“One who denies the reappearance of Mahdi is an unbeliever.”

The Occultation(Ghaibat) of imam mahdi in quran

When Imam Zamana returns, oppression tyranny, and unjust and oppressive rulers will finish from the face of the planet, according to authentic traditions narrated on the authority of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.).

As a result, every tyrannical king, particularly Imam Hasan al-Askari’s (a.s.) contemporaries, worked hard to prevent the birth of Imam Mahdi (a.t.f.s.) and his arrival in this world. Furthermore, because the Prophet of Allah (s.a.w.a.) predicted that the number of Imams would be twelve and that Imam Hasan al-Askari (a.s.) would be the eleventh Imam (and Mahdi the twelfth), they were certain that Mahdi would be born only in his house.

As a result, there are too many signs that show imam mahdi in Quran clearly proves the rigorous security and surveillance were established. But, just as Firaon’s schemes to prevent the birth of Hazrat Moosa (a.s.) failed, so, despite their best efforts, the oppressors were unable to prevent the birth of Imam Mahdi (a.t.f.s.). Because Imam Mahdi’s (a.t.f.s.) life was in grave danger, the news of his birth was not made public. Only those who could be trusted were told of this holy event. When the Imamate and leadership of Imam Mahdi (a.t.f.s.) began after the martyrdom of Imam Hasan al-Askari (a.s.), the dangers to his life increased.

Difficulties and Reasons for  Occultation(Ghaibat)

The king’s troops raided his home numerous times. As a result, under divine command, Imam zamana entered occultation. On the one hand, the situation was difficult, and danger loomed big. On the other hand, the masses had questions and concerns that required communication with the Imam (a.s.). Given this need, the Imam (a.s.) established four special deputies. These four people were special Deputies (Nawwaab al-Arba’ or Naaebeen al-Khaas).

The special deputyships began in 260 A.H. and ended in 329 A.H. (69 years). This is known as Minor Occultation (Ghaibat al-Sughra). With the death of the fourth deputy, ‘Ali Ibn Muhammad Seymouri, in 329 A.H., the minor occultation ended, and the Major Occultation (Ghaibat al-Kubra) began. The massive occultation will continue until Allah the Almighty resurfaces Imam az-Zaman (a.t.f.s.).
Today is the era of major occultation, and Imam Az-Zaman (a.t.f.s.) has not appointed any special deputy. But he hasn’t abandoned us either.

Advantage of Imam az-Zaman’s Existence in Occultation

Our Imam Zamana (a.t.f.s.) is currently under occultation. However, this does not imply that he lives in a remote location far from civilization.
People are unaware of his residence due to occultation. They do not recognize their Imam az-Zaman (a.t.f.s.) even when they see him. According to Imam Sadeq (a.s.), says
“يرونهُ و لا يعرفونه”
“They see him but do not recognize him.”
But Imam az-Zaman (a.t.f.s.) sees the people and recognizes them too. He declares,
“None of your news is hidden from us. We are not negligent in your protection nor forgetful of your remembrance. Had it not been so, calamities would have descended upon you, and enemies would have annihilated you.”

This demonstrates that imam mahdi in quran, although hidden from the people’s eyes, Imam az-Zaman (a.t.f.s.) is aware of their plight.

Let us attempt it and feel his hand reach us despite the veil of obscuration. Thousands of such incidents can be found in reliable books where people have called out to Imam Az-Zaman (a.t.f.s.) for assistance, and he has come to their aid.
