The Science Wonders in the Quran

1. Water is the source of all living things in Quran

Allah, SWT, said in Quran: وجعلنا من الماء كل شىء حى ، الأنبياء 30

 And We made everything alive from water. Al-Anbya, 30.

 والله خلق كل دابة من ماء، النور، 45

Allah made every living thing that moves out of water.

Scientists have done a lot of tests and found that cytoplasm, the main part of a cell, is made up of 80% water. Also, modern science has shown that most living things are made up of 50–90% water, and every living thing needs water to live. This fact wasn’t known until recently, but it was written about in the Quran 1400 years ago.

In the Quran, water is shown to be the source of everything.

2. The way ants talk to each other in Quran.

In Surah Al Naml, the Quran talks about how ants live.

حَتَّىٰ إِذَا أَتَوْا عَلَىٰ وَادِ النَّمْلِ قَالَتْ نَمْلَةٌ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّمْلُ ادْخُلُوا مَسَاكِنَكُمْ لَا يَحْطِمَنَّكُمْ سُلَيْمَانُ وَجُنُودُهُ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ (18)

When they reached a valley of ants, one of the ants said, “O ants, get into your holes, lest Solomon and his hosts crush you (under their feet) without even knowing.”

Some people used to make fun of this verse. saying it’s a story from a book. But science study has found some interesting things about ants’ lives that people didn’t know before. For example, they behave in many ways like people do.

For example, ants bury their dead just like people do. They also have a very complex way of working, with managers, leaders, foremen, and workers. Even more interesting is that they have a market where they can bid on things and trade them! not to mention that they store food during the summer to eat during the hard winters. Very caring and considerate.

3.The way ants talk is a miracle in the Quran.

The Quran says that the spider’s home is the most fragile of all. Allah said in surah al ankabut

مَثَلُ الَّذِينَ اتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ أَوْلِيَاء كَمَثَلِ الْعَنكَبُوتِ اتَّخَذَتْ بَيْتًا وَإِنَّ أَوْهَنَ الْبُيُوتِ لَبَيْتُ الْعَنكَبُوتِ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ» (العنكبوت:١٤) .So, what did science say about that?

A spider’s home is made of thin, twisted threads that are easy to break and don’t protect the spider from the sun or other animals. Also, the Quran talked about the female spider because she sews this house by making its smooth glands work. Even though the male spider helps a little, the female is in charge of making the house.

4. There are two of everything

Allah said in the Quran, “We made two of everything.” سورة الذاريات 39

The word pair doesn’t just mean “male” and “female.” It also means “life” and “death,” “happiness” and “sadness,” “body” and “soul,” and “light” and “darkness.” There are a lot of examples to give. This verse is definitely about everything, even things that people haven’t found out yet.

5. The Darkness of the Ocean

قال الله: (أَوْ كَظُلُمَاْتٍ فِيْ بَحْرٍ لُّجِّيٍّ يَغْشَاْهُ مَوْجٌ مِنْ فَوْقِهِ مَوْجٌ مِنْ فَوْقِهِ سَحَاْبٌ ظُلُمَاْتٌ بَعْضُهَاْ فَوْقَ بَعْضٍ إِذَاْ أَخْرَجَ يَدَهُ لَمْ يَكُدْ يَرَاْهَاْ وَ مَنْ لَمْ يَجْعَلِ اللهُ لَهُ نُوْرَاً فَمَاْلَهُ مِنْ نُّوْرٍ) النور

Allah said in surah Al Noor:  40

Or, “their actions” are like the darkness at the bottom of a deep sea, which is covered by waves after waves and topped by “dark” clouds. Darkness upon darkness! If you put your hand out, you can barely see it. And whoever Allah doesn’t give light to won’t have any!

After the development of subs and other useful tools, it became clear that the deepest parts of the ocean are completely dark. The ocean is very deep, so even though the sun’s rays can reach the top layers, they can’t go any further. As light moves through the layers of water, it is absorbed and scattered by the water molecules. So, by the time it gets to the bottom, it’s so faint that if someone took their hand out of their pocket, they wouldn’t be able to see it.

6. The father decides the fetus’s gender.

People have thought for a long time that it is up to the mother to figure out the gender of the baby. But science has shown that the type of sperms is linked to figuring out a person’s sex. Every person has 46 chromosomes in his or her DNA. These chromosomes determine how a person looks and whether he or she will grow up to be male or female. Some sperm have chromosome X and others have chromosome Y. Each ovum has one normal chromosome X.

If the sperm carrying chromosome X fertilizes the egg during fertilization, the Embryo will grow up to be a girl (xx). But if it has gene Y, the family will wait until it has a boy.

In a simple word, the Quran describes the complicated process of pregnancy.

 أَلَمْ يَكُ نُطْفَةً مِّن مَّنِىٍّۢ، القيامة 37 Weren’t they not “once” sperm-drops? Al-Qiyamah 37

The word , which comes from the man language, means a small drop of sperm.
