The limitations of the Big Bang theory In the Quran
A Big Bang formed the world. In the Quran, it says that the sky and the Earth were tight and close together.
Quran 21:30
Whoever doesn’t believe should be able to see that the sky and the Earth used to be joined together, but that We tore them apart. Then We made everything that lives out of water. Still not going to believe it?
أَوَلَمْ يَرَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَنَّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ كَانَتَا رَتْقًا فَفَتَقْنَاهُمَا ۖ وَجَعَلْنَا مِنَ الْمَاءِ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ حَيٍّ ۖ أَفَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
The Quran says that the skies grew from a single point.
How could a man who didn’t know how to read and write and lived 1400 years ago know that everything came from a single point?
Since the Big Bang, the world has been getting bigger.
Quran 51:47
And we built heaven with skill, and we’re still adding to it.
وَالسَّمَاءَ بَنَيْنَاهَا بِأَيْدٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ
How could a man who didn’t know how to read and write 1400 years ago know that the universe is getting bigger?
The world could end in one of three ways: Big Rip, Big Crunch, or Big Chill. NASA has recently said that the first possibility (No Big Rip) is not true. This means that there are only two ways for the world to end: Big Crunch or Big Chill. In the Quran, God says that the Big Crunch will happen:
Quran 7:187
“When will it come?” they ask you about the Hour. Say, “My Lord alone knows about it. No one but He knows when it will happen. It puts a lot of stress on both the sky and the earth. You won’t see it coming. It will hit you all at once.” They ask you about it as if you are to blame. Say, “Allah knows it,” but most people don’t know what you mean.
يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَاهَا ۖ قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِنْدَ رَبِّي ۖ لَا يُجَلِّيهَا لِوَقْتِهَا إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ ثَقُلَتْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ لَا تَأْتِيكُمْ إِلَّا بَغْتَةً ۗ يَسْأَلُونَكَ كَأَنَّكَ حَفِيٌّ عَنْهَا ۖ قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
The word “weighs,” which was used in the Quran, means “by gravity.” But General Relativity tells us that gravity is a bend in time and space. We also know that wormholes are like making a book out of spacetime.
Quran 21:104
On the day when We will fold the sky like a folder folds books, and just as We made the first thing, We will make it again. This is a promise, and We will keep it.
يَوْمَ نَطْوِي السَّمَاءَ كَطَيِّ السِّجِلِّ لِلْكُتُبِ ۚ كَمَا بَدَأْنَا أَوَّلَ خَلْقٍ نُعِيدُهُ ۚ وَعْدًا عَلَيْنَا ۚ إِنَّا كُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ
Here, God says that the sky will be folded like a book to make this Big Crunch happen.
So, in one line, God says the Big Crunch will happen because of gravity, and in another, he says it will happen because space-time will fold up like a book. Since both texts say the same thing, it means that in the Quran, gravity is the way space and time are bent.
How could a man who didn’t know how to read and write and lived 1400 years ago know that gravity is a bend in space-time? The Big Bang Theory is not enough for a valid response here.
Before you can blink, this Big Crunch will start and end:
Quran 16:77
Allah owns everything that can’t be seen in the sky and on the earth. The Hour is coming as fast as a blink of an eye, or even faster. Everything is in Allah’s control.
وَلِلَّهِ غَيْبُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۚ وَمَا أَمْرُ السَّاعَةِ إِلَّا كَلَمْحِ الْبَصَرِ أَوْ هُوَ أَقْرَبُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
This Big Crunch will start and end in a tiny fraction of a second. The spacetime will be folded like a book to make this happen. But this is the exact opposite of what happened when the Big Bang happened. Inflation was unattractive for a fraction of a second, but God says that in the Big Crunch, it will be desirable for a fraction of a second. Both of these events will happen in a fraction of a second.
How could a man who didn’t know how to read and write and lived 1400 years ago know that inflation was for a tiny amount of time?
Also, God says that after this Big Crunch is over, he will remake the skies and Earth again before Judgment Day:
Quran 14:48
On the day when the earth changes into a new earth and the skies become new heavens, they will all come out in front of Allah, the One, the Unstoppable.
يَوْمَ تُبَدَّلُ الْأَرْضُ غَيْرَ الْأَرْضِ وَالسَّمَاوَاتُ ۖ وَبَرَزُوا لِلَّهِ الْوَاحِدِ الْقَهَّارِ
Conclusion:
These are the findings that can’t be argued against the idea that the world was made by nothing. No one can ignore what the Quran says, because everything needs a creator. If everything needs a creator, then how is it possible that there is no maker of this huge universe? Therefore still The Big Bang Theory has too many flaws and limitations.
